LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — High flying passengers flying out of LAX Airport can now bring their marijuana along with them.
The new policy, which is tied to Proposition 64, legalizes marijuana inside the busy airport and even on planes.
The policy now allows adult travelers, 21 or older, to carry marijuana.
There are limits: a maximum of 28.5 grams (about an ounce) of standard marijuana and 8 grams of the condensed variety. source
Be aware, if you’re flying out of the state or out of the country, that pot may well be illegal at your destination.
Also, police note possession is still a federal crime and federal TSA agents may take action.
