SC Man ID’d As Victim In Saturday Morning Fatal Single-Vehicle “Deadfall Road” Greenwood Crash

GREENWOOD COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Michael Ross Wiedemann of Greenwood, SC, has been identified as the victim killed following a single-vehicle collision in Greenwood County early Saturday morning.

Wiedemann, 31, was traveling on Deadfall Road at 12:10 a.m., when for unknown reasons, exited the roadway, ran into a ditch, before coming to rest after striking a tree.

According to troopers, the driver ran off the left side of the road, striking a ditch and hitting a tree. source

The coroner later positively identified the driver as Wiedemann.

His cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with possible information on the crash should contact police at 911.
