CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — William Cody Johnson has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle crash in Chester, VA, Saturday morning.
Johnson, 25, was traveling in the 8600 block of River Road in Petersburg, Chesterfield, Virginia, when for unknown reasons, exited the roadway and crashed around 1:40 p.m.. The vehicle rolled over and the victim was ejected.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.

“A vehicle was traveling on River Road when it went off the road to the right and overturned ejecting the driver,” a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote in an email. “[Johnson] was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
A crash report noted that Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt when the fatal wreck occurred.
