SALINE COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Brandi Bennett, of Stonefort, Ill, has been identified as the victim in a deadly crash in Saline County, Illinois, Thursday.
According to the Illinois State Police, the crash occurred around 8:25 p.m. involving a blue Ford Ranger, driven by Bennett, 46, while traveling on Ernest Reed Rd north of Thomas Rd, Raleigh Township, IL.
Bennett was headed southbound when she exited the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle came to rest in a ditch and rolled over on its roof.
Bennett was pronounced pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, Travis Conley, refused medical treatment.
Local press outlets reported the victim’s name as “Bennet.” But THECOUNT.COM’s investigation showed it is “Bennett.”
An accident report stated that the cause of the crash was improper usage of a lane.
