MACON, GA. (THECOUNT) — Macon, GA, Market Store clerk, Waqar Ali, has been identified as the victim shot dead early Wednesday morning.
Ali, 21, was shot during an armed robbery Tuesday after 11 p.m. at the corner store located at, 2006 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA.
A press release says that an unknown man entered the store as the clerk was departing the business. The man shot Ali in the chest and fled the scene.
Ali was transported to Navicent Health where he was later pronounced dead due to his injuries sustained in the shooting, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the Market Place #5 Store located at 2006 Vineville Avenue. source
Police did not indicated what if anything was taken during the suspected robbery.
