PERRY COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Nicole Paine, of Chavies, KY, has been identified as the woman arrested after deputies say she stabbed her grandmother more than a dozen times.
Paine, whose age was not provided, is facing an attempted murder charge in the stabbing of her grandmother Tuesday off Highway 28 near Chavies.
Family members told local press that the victim tried to get away in her car, but had some kind of problem. Instead, she had to run to her neighbor’s house to call 911.
The victim remains at UK Hospital. Her condition was not provided.
“She had stab marks all over her, blood all over her, one whole side of her face was swollen, her eyes were black, there was bruises all over her, scratches, everything,” said Kayla Brown, a family member. source
Paine remains in the Perry County Detention Center charged with attempted murder.
