PENROSE, CO. (THECOUNT) — John Podhirny, of Pueblo West, has been identified as the victim killed in a motorcycle crash in Fremont County Friday.
Podhirny, 53, was operating a motorcycle northbound on Colorado 115 when he misjudged a curve and drifted into the southbound lane, State Patrol said.
The motorcycle rolled, and Podhirny and a 40-year-old woman riding on the back were thrown from the bike.
Podhirny was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
The woman was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition was not immediately made available.
The female victim was not identified.
