TOPEKA, KS. (THECOUNT) — Gianni Sabastian Noriega has been identified by the Topeka Police Dept. as the Topeka man was shot and killed in central Topeka late Thursday afternoon.
Noriega, 20, was found unresponsive, laying in a pool of blood suffering from gunshot wounds, in a Topeka alley, police said.
He was later pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital, police said.
Investigators say police responded around 5:20 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 400 Southwest Taylor Street, Topeka, KS. The caller reportedly told police they heard approximately four shots. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the Noriega. source
Investigators have released few details about a possible suspect or suspects.
