Birmingham, AL (THECOUNT) — Birmingham Police have identified Brandon Lewis, as the man found shot inside of a vehicle outside of the Lyric Theater in downtown Birmingham.
Lewis, 30, was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officer’s say the shooting occurred in the 1600 block of 13th Avenue North around 10:00 p.m., Friday evening.
According to police a family member was driving Lewis to the hospital when they stopped for emergency assistance from medical personnel outside of the Lyric Theater. source
Authorities say that the preliminary investigation revealed the victim was involved in an altercation with several unknown men and was subsequently shot.
No suspect or motive information was immediately made available.
