JONES COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Alice Brigham has been identified as the Hamlin, Texas woman found suffering from an assault Friday afternoon.
Brigham, 66, was discovered by first responders who arrived to a Hamlin home on reports of an assault. She later died after being transported to an area hospital.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Office have issued an arrest warrant for 39-year-old Mitchel Glen Butler, the man suspected of killing Brigham.
Jones County Sheriffs responded to an assault call east of Hamlin Friday afternoon, and arrived finding a victim identified as 66-year-old Alice Brigham, according to the release. EMS transported Brigham to the Hamlin Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. source
Butler has a previous criminal record, last being arrested in 2007 and taken to the Taylor County Jail for several theft and burglary charges.
