MEMPHIS, TN. (THECOUNT) — The woman tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning has been identified by family members as Markita McGhee.
McGhee, a mother of four, was operating a vehicle around 3 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Parkway East in Memphis, when she exited the roadway for an unknown reason and rolled over multiple times.
McGhee became trapped inside the vehicle following the crash.
She was later pronounced dead on the scene.
The family identified the driver to WREG’s Melissa Moon as Markita McGhee. They said the mother of four was driving down the street when a truck ran a stop sign. She swerved to miss the vehicle and lost control. source
