ARLINGTON, VA. (THECOUNT) — The Secret Service took over the lead on a head-on crash that occurred just outside the Rosslyn Tunnel in Arlington, VA, early Sunday morning.
Lanes on I-66 in Arlington have reopened at Lee Highway near Rosslyn following a head-on collision, police say.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured and it’s also unclear why the Secret Service took the lead on the case.
The Secret Service is investigating the crash, which occurred early Sunday morning in the eastbound lanes outside the Rosslyn Tunnel. The federal police agency didn’t immediately say why they were on the scene. source
All traffic was being diverted off of I-66 at exit 73, Arlington County police said. All lanes reopened about 7 a.m.
