MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. (THECOUNT) — Georgia man, Shasta Richardson, is lucky to be alive after being shot in the head, and then driving 20 miles in the wrong direction seeking help.
Richardson, 36, was “conscious and alert” when he arrived at an Eatonton hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the head late Wednesday. Richardson could have sought help at the Milledgeville hospital, which is at least a 12 miles closer than his eventual destination.

“I don’t know why he went there,” said Sheriff Howard Sills of Putnam County.
It was not immediately clear what prompted the 8:15 p.m. shooting.
King said the alleged shooter, Willis Rozier, of Milledgeville, faces aggravated assault charges. source
The captain said Richardson has since been taken to a Macon hospital.
