BARBOURVILLE, KY. (THECOUNT) — Barbourville, KY., man, Robert L. Saunders, has been identified as the victim found laying in a ditch on Stephen Trace Road.
Friday at 11:30 a.m., Kentucky State Police responded to a call of a utility worker reporting a dead man laying in a ditch.
Saunders, 42, was later pronounced dead at the scene. State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort ruled the death as an apparent drowning. source
The body was found in a ditch near KY-3439 at Stephen Trace Road.
No foul play is suspected and toxicology results are pending.
