Akron woman, Kathryn Carmen, has been charged with abuse of a corpse after police found her in a Cincinnati hotel room with a dead body.
Carmen, 34, was arrested Thursday after officers responded to the Crossland Cincinnati – Sharonville Hotel, located on Sharonville, Chester Road, Cincinnati, OH., to perform a welfare check, said The Sharonville Police Department.
Upon arrival, investigators found Carmen and a dead person in the room.
Officials said Carmen admitted to officers that she never called for help and remained in the room “several days” after her friend died from a heroin overdose.
According to the police report, Carmen admitted to officers she never called emergency services or police for several days. source
She is being held on $100,000 bond at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
