INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Lee Wiggins has been named as the victim found dead on an Indianapolis roadway late Sunday evening.
Wiggins, 31, was discovered suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in front of a residence on Indianapolis’ east side, police say. A murder investigation has been opened in the fatal shooting.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived on-scene at 3100 Eastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN., just before 10 p.m. after receiving reports of a body lying in the street.
When police arrived they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He has been identified as Anthony Lee Wiggins, 31. The cause of death was multiple gunshots wounds. source
Wiggins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released any other information on the fatal incident.
The murder case remains under investigation.
