FAYETTEVILLE, NC (THECOUNT) — Fayetteville police have identified Isaiah “Denzel” Flowers as the motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash Thursday night.
Flowers, 20, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was operating a motorcycle when he was struck by 71-year-old, Julia Clay, who was later charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
Officers responded to reports of a motorcycle rider down at around at 8:50 p.m. Upon arrival, police concluded a Toyota, driven by Clay, was traveling west on Cliffdale Rd at Pritchett Rd Fayetteville, NC., when it came in contact with a motorcycle.
Flowers was struck and thrown from the bike in the collision.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Clay, the driver of the Toyota, was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization. source
Anyone with information on the fatal crash is urged to contact police at 911.
According to Facebook, Flowers was originally from Topeka, Kansas.
