Former Mississippi WLBT news anchor and reporter, Stephanie Bell Flynt, has died after a hard battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Mike Flynt, and four children.
The anchor announced her lung cancer diagnosis and later said on Facebook she was fighting leukemia. After a 100 day remission, Flynt sadly said her leukemia had returned.
The Gloster, Mississippi native joined the WLBT news team in the mid 1990’s, and quickly made a name for herself as a professional, no-nonsense on-air personality. She enjoyed her work as the medical reporter, and also anchor of the 12 p.m. report alongside Bert Case. source
Stephanie is the recipient of numerous awards for her outstanding work in TV news, and she was inducted into the Mississippi Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
