Excelsior Springs, MO — (THECOUNT) Ashley’s Car Lot in Excelsior Springs, Montana, had one last vehicle to move off the lot.. But this was probably not the way the business envisioned it happening.
A sinkhole opened up near the Excelsior Springs AutoZone swallowing an occupied pickup truck Tuesday evening.
The owner of a Ford FX4 Off Road truck was lucky to escape a sinkhole alive before it opened up and claimed his vehicle Tuesday.
The hole opened up in a parking lot in the 1700 W Jesse James Rd., Excelsior Springs, MO. The cause of the sinkhole was not immediately known although a near by grassy area may hold some clues.
Excelsior Springs Police posted photos of the truck in the hole on Facebook.
“An occupied vehicle was trapped in the hole, however the driver has been evacuated safely,” police said. source
