Authorities say two bodies have been recovered off the coast of Long Island following a fatal small plane crash Saturday night.
As search efforts resumed Sunday, officials said they were searching for two more people after recovering the bodies of 70-year-old Bernie Krupinski and 70-year-old Bonnie Krupinski, both passengers on the doomed single-engine plane that crash while en route to the Hamptons.
Search and rescue teams are still searching for the Krupinski’s grandson, 22-year-old Billy Macrov, who was also on board along with the pilot, identified as 47-year-old Jon Dollard.
The plane was en route to East Hampton Airport, when it appears to have flown directly into a thunderstorm. When the plane fell off the radar screens, controllers called police. source
The cause of the deadly crash is under investigation.
