Former Los Angeles Clippers player Rasual Butler had drugs and alcohol in his system at the time of a violent Studio City, CA., Range Rover crash that left him and his wife dead.
Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle, were killed in a wee-hour, single-vehicle, high-speed crash in the trendy Los Angeles suburb earlier this year.
The crash occurred in the 11200 of Ventura Boulevard between Vineland and Tujunga at around 2:30 a.m.
A newly released autopsy report from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office revealed Thursday that Butler had multiple intoxicants in his system at the time of the January 31 wreck, including marijuana, methamphetamine and painkillers, according to the autopsy. He had a blood alcohol level of .118, well above the legal limit.
An empty box of Don Julio tequila was found in the vehicle, behind the passenger seat, the report stated.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Butler’s wife, LaBelle, was a well known singer.
He last played in the league in 2016.
