Norfolk Police detectives have charged Norfolk couple, Latoya Smith and Demont Harris, in the murder of an 11-year-old Virginia girl.
EMS responded to the 100 West Balview Avenue, Norfolk, VA., around 8:15 a.m. Friday morning after receiving a call for an unresponsive 11-year-old girl.
The child was found to be suffering from serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Norfolk Police arrived on-scene and opened a death investigation.
Following an interview, police took Smith, 33, and Harris, 43, in custody. They have since been charged with 2nd degree murder.
