David Stockdale has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in the Myrtle Beach area.
Stockdale, 49, was operating a 2012 Ford pickup truck when it ran off the right side of a Myrtle Beach roadway and struck a ditch, according to officials.
According to information from South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins, the crash happened at 5:25 p.m. on Tidewater Road. source
Stockdale was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said Stockdale was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash and he was not wearing a seat belt.
