Israel “Izzy” Reyes, of San Antonio, was named as the young TX mother arrested and charged with starting a fire that potentially risked the life of her infant daughter, Ella.
According to court papers, Reyes, 18, is accused of intentionally starting a fire in the kitchen of her home on Ruiz Street on March 2. That night, crews rescued Reyes and her baby daughter.
The baby’s father told investigators he had been arguing with Reyes earlier in the day. He left the house and twice called police to perform a welfare check on Reyes and the child. Later that night, Reyes sent him pictures of a fire in the kitchen, according to court papers. He called again for help and that’s when firefighters responded to the fire. source
