The body of Bismarck man, Lynn Fairfield, was found Wednesday morning along the Heart River west of Mandan, the Morton County Sheriff’s Department said.
A deputy says he found the body of the 74-year-old while doing a check of the shoreline around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
A Morton County deputy was doing a check of the shoreline around 10 a.m. Wednesday and discovered the body of Fairfield about a mile downstream from where his boat had capsized on the river on April 9. Searchers had been looking for the Bismarck man whose boat was found capsized in the Heart River west of Mandan.
The Morton County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement on Facebook:
The body of Lynn Fairfield of Bismarck has been found along the Heart River west of Mandan. Fairfield went missing on April 9 after his boat capsized on the river. A MCSO deputy discovered the body this morning around 10am during a regular search of the shoreline. source
Fairfield, who has been missing since the second week of April, was the subject of several searches along the water.
