Alabama businessman, Richard David Stewart, has been taken in custody and booked on several felony sex charges.
Stewart, owner of the Burris Farm Markets, in Loxley and Orange Beach, Alabama, is now holdup in the Baldwin County Jail on two counts of Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree.
According to the BCSO Jail records Stewart was booked in shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday and has a bond set at $30,000. Stewart will be required to submit to drug screening and have no contact with the victim once released on bond. District Attorney Bob Wilters says the incident occurred in the Gulf Shores area in the past year and the victim is an adult. source
Sexual abuse in the first degree is a Class C felony punishable by not more than 10 years in state prison and a fine of not more than $15,000.
