Lane Elizabeth Kerpan, of Gurnee, Illinois, has been identified as the woman whose body was found near the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Police now say, Kerpan, 25, was likely hit by a car in a possible hit-and-run, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A passing driver spotted Kerpan along Lincoln Memorial Drive around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. At the time, investigators did not know exactly how she died. On Thursday morning, authorities revealed findings of Kerpan’s autopsy. The medical examiner said the autopsy revealed significant internal injuries consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle. source
