Lane Elizabeth Kerpan, of Gurnee, Illinois, has been identified as the woman whose body was found near the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Police now say, Kerpan, 25, was likely hit by a car in a possible hit-and-run, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A passing driver spotted Kerpan along Lincoln Memorial Drive around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. At the time, investigators did not know exactly how she died. On Thursday morning, authorities revealed findings of Kerpan’s autopsy.
