Megan Victoria Brown has been named by the Caddo Coroner’s office as the woman killed when her car crashed into a Shreveport Bayou. She was 40.
Brown’s family members confirmed the sad news of Brown’s passing to members of the local press while at University Health.
Brown’s car plunged into the East Kings Highway Park, known as the Duck Pond, a part of Shreveport’s Anderson Bayou just before 7 p.m. on Monday. Three children – two 9-year-olds and a 7-year-old – were in the car when it became submerged. The children were not injured. source
Three other vehicles were involved in the crash. Two remained on land.
“Cross Bayou” is a 38.0-mile-long river in Texas and Louisiana. It is a tributary of the Red River, part of the Mississippi River watershed.
