Amid several brush fires burning in Southern California, a new blaze broke out in Huntington Beach Thursday.
Huntington Beach Fire Department officials said firefighters were working to extinguish a vegetation fire near Beach Boulevard and Adams Avenue.
The size of the fire was not immediately clear, but officials said the blaze was threatening structures and some homeless people were being evacuated.
Fire officials were asking the public to avoid the area and yield to emergency vehicles responding to the fire.
