At least three people were killed Tuesday in northern California's Tehama County, Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said.
Gunman has been identified as Kevin Jansen Neil. His wife found dead in their home. Investigators believe her killing led to other incidents. 7 children among 14 victims of shooting.
The Associated Press reports that the wife of the suspected shooter has been found dead in a nearby home, bringing the death toll in the incident to six people.
Before police shot Neil dead, he killed four people — including a neighbor — and injured at least 10 others in a string of shootings that spanned at least seven sites in the small community of Rancho Tehama, west of Corning, police said.
