Elaine Guy has been named by North Smithfield police as the woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning. She was 42.
Guy of Harrisville, RI., was involved in a head-on collision near 764 Great Road.
Police said officers responded at about 7:40 a.m. to a report of a head-on collision near 764 Great Road. Police said one car crossed over the centerline and struck the other car in the southbound lanes.
Guy was taken to Landmark Medical Center, where she died. The driver of the other car, Sarah Kravitz, 36, of Oxford, Massachusetts, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and treated for minor injuries. source
There were no passengers in either car.
