Mother to 6 children, Penny commented the following on her Facebook page, “I’m devoted to my children and my amazing boyfriend.” The boyfriend would later be arrested over her murder. Penny’s final Facebook post came on June 12th, 2017:

I am sorry for all that I have done to Ryan and his family. I know now that I need help more than ever. I’ve lie to doctors, counclers [sic], police, and worst of all I’ve lied to my own family and Ryan’s, for as long as I can remember. My heart was ripped from me when Autumn was taken from me and I’ve been on a destructive path ever since. Hurting anyone and everyone and I still don’t understand why I do it I’ve hurt so many people through out [sic] my life. Please try to forgive me and I will understand if you don’t because the damage I’ve cause is unforgivable. I know now laying here in my bed watching my daughter sleep that I have one chance left. One more opportunity to do what I need to do. I’ve been broken inside for so long that I dont know what or who I am anymore. And I know Ryan will hate this but I’m sorry to you too Mark for doing what I did to you. But i didn’t know what I was doing and I still dont. I know I have a job interview tomorrow and DCF is helping me put the kids in daycare this week. It’s time to be the real mother I should have been a long time ago. From here starts my new life to becoming the woman I should have been. And I know Ryan doesn’t check his Facebook anymore because of all the things I’ve done to him on here. Please tell him to forgive me because I do love him and what I’ve done is unforgivable and unexplainable. I just need help and I need him. Going to study about the company I’m interviewing for to better my chances tomorrow wish me luck”

Middlesex DA’s officer issued a warrant for the boyfriend, 32-year-old Ryan Power. They say he got into a fight with the victim on Tuesday. The warrant included charges of strangulation and assault and battery on a household or family member.

The DA’s office says the Power was found in Seabrook, New Hampshire later, where he was arrested. He has been charged with murder in connection with Penny’s death.

Authorities are investigating a possible motive and to determine an exact cause of death.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.
