Promising Kent State football player Tyler Heintz has died. Heintz was about to enter his freshman season as a Golden Flash.
According to a Twitter page belonging to his high school football program, Heintz died after a Tuesday workout.
“Shocked and bewildered is all we can say,” the account tweeted. “Pray for his family.”

Heintz was pictured signing his National Letter of Intent to play football at the University officially marking his departure from Kenton.
