24-year-old Isaiah Lampkins of Solon Ohio, clocks in as the first homicide in Pepper Pike since March 28, 1995.
Officers were called to the 28700 block of Fairmount Blvd around 12:48 a.m. on report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found Lampkins, of Solon, lifeless on the lawn.
Lampkins was taken to Hillcrest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, who lives in Niles, has been taken into custody. Charges are pending.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
The last homicide in Pepper Pike was March 28, 1995.
