Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll shared a creepy photo on Twitter Wednesday at the same time asking her 43,000 constituents if they also spotted a ghostly image contained within it. Salem, Massachusetts, was home to the 1692 Salem Witch Trials, which led to the executions of 20 people.
Driscoll, a Democrat, asks if other people can see the face trapped in the Salem street lamp, which she noted was “eerie.” The photo was reportedly snapped outside the local courthouse.
Besides the infamous Witch Trials, Salem’s other attractions include a witch museum, witchcraft shops and America’s biggest Halloween party.
