Michael Mantenuto, a former actor and college hockey player who played Jack O’Callahan in the 2004 Disney film “Miracle,” died Monday, April 24, 2017. He was 35.
Mantenuto starred in the 2004 Disney Olympic hockey film but later left acting to join the military. He was found dead by the Des Moines Police Department in Iowa.
Mantenuto’s death was announced by Col. Guillaume Beaurpere, commander of Mantenuto’s US Army’s First Special Forces Group.
