Tomi Lahren, the outspoken conservative commentator for The Blaze, was suspended from her job, reports say. The site has suspended her segment, “Tomi,” for at least a week, though some media outlets are reporting that Lahren could be on ice until September.
Lahren, 24, made feminist remarks in support of Pro Choice, (aka, she’s cool with abortion,) on Monday, and now she may be looking for a new gig.
“You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well,” Lahren told the panel. ”I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say, ‘I’m for limited government, but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.’” Abortion is one of the more hot-button emotional issues for conservatives, with 6 out of 10 saying in a survey by Pew Research that abortion should be criminalized in nearly all instances. 36 percent of conservatives surveyed said that abortion should be illegal in all cases, including for rape and incest. h/t resistancereport
Lahren should be okay for a while as she has a net worth of $3 million, according to celebritynetworth. The Blaze ranks as the 750th most-visited website in the U.S., according to Alexa rankings.
