Iris Rodriguez, the little girl who was shot in the head while walking down a San Antonio street with her mother, has died, family members said on Thursday.
Rodriguez, 7, was shot following a disturbance on the city’s West Side, she later died at University Hospital, where she was on a life-support machine.
Iris and her mother were walking around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 5500 block of San Fernando Street when a vehicle involved in some type of disturbance pulled up to them and opened fire, police said. Iris was shot in the head, police said. Her mother was shot in the arm and is in stable condition. h/t ksat
