AZ Gov. Doug Ducey announced they have arrested a suspect in the random I-10 freeway shootings.
Ducey says the arrest came just before 7 p.m. on Friday. “We got him! DPS SWAT team is in custody of the individual suspected of I-10 shootings. Apprehended moments ago.” the Governor said in a tweet.
The governor’s office says the suspect is 21-year-old Leslie Allen Merritt. He was arrested at a Wal-Mart at 5600 W. Northern. Authorities say they found the gun on the suspect and it matches the case. The suspect was taken into custody. This comes on the same day charges were dropped against an Avondale man detained as a “person of interest” in connection with the string of freeway shootings.h/t azfamily

You "got him"? You "got him" last week also and released him hours before arresting the actual suspect. How is it possible for the man to get a fair trial when the Governor is releasing statements saying "WE GOT HIM"?
