Shannen Doherty, the actress best known for her role as Brenda in TV series, Beverly Hills 90210, is battling breast cancer, and she may have to undergo a mastectomy and chemotherapy. Doherty confirmed the news to People saying, ‘Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment.’
The alarming information was revealed after Doherty, 44, filed a lawsuit after discovering her former business manager had allowed her health insurance to lapse.

She added, ‘I am continuing to eat right, exercise and stay very positive about my life. I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support and, of course, my fans who have stood by me.’ It was also revealed she found out she had cancer in March, when her health insurance kicked in again and she felt comfortable going to the doctor. h/t dailymail
Her business manager is employed at Tanner, Mainstain, Glynn & Johnson and it was claimed she was giving the company five percent of her income. Doherty stopped working with the firm in 2014.
