Amber Heard, the actress married to Johnny Depp has officially been charged with illegally bringing dogs to Australia and one count of producing a false document.
Australian prosecutors said on Thursday that Heard is now facing a maximum of 10 years in prison and fines of at least $74,000 U.S. She has a Sept. 7 court date.
The charges come two months after Heard and Depp of illegally imported their dogs, Pistol and Boo, into Australia. The nation’s agriculture minister ordered the pooches to leave immediately or face euthanization.
Dog-gate began in May, after Depp and his new wife smuggled the dogs into the country aboard his private jet.
