Famed New York Times media columnist David Carr has died, he was 58.
Carr died at his office Thursday night, hours after appearing at a video conference with the Citizenfour team, a group that included Edward Snowden and others.
The Times confirmed Carr’s death late Thursday:
For the past 25 years, Mr. Carr wrote about media. He joined The Times in 2002 as a business reporter covering the magazine publishing industry.
His column appeared in the Monday business section and focused on media issues, including print, digital, film, radio and television. h/t businessinsider
