A local Indianapolis news crew from Fox59 was carjacked at gunpoint Tuesday night.
The suspect pulled a gun and demanded the station-branded news van while threatening the crew with a handgun.
Police later located the vehicle abandon at 41st Street and Irvington.
IMPD spokesperson Rafael Diaz confirmed a Fox59 crew was attacked around 8:15 p.m. near 37th Street and Emerson Avenue.
No one was injured, but personal items were missing from the vehicle, including a purse. The crew’s camera and other electronic equipment was not taken. h/t wthr
The suspect was described only as a black male wearing dark clothing, including a hoodie.
