LeBron James‘ cool Batman style mask employed to protect the baller’s freshly broken nose, is no more! This after the league demanded James switch to the more standard issue clear.
James created a social frenzy after donning a black carbon-fiber face mask Thursday in a win against the New York Knicks. But the league says James needs to switch to a more traditional clear mask when the Miami Heat host the Orlando Magic tonight.
“It is our understanding LeBron used the black mask because a clear one he was comfortable with wasn’t ready,” a NBA spokesman said.
James appealed the decision and is still trying to get clearance to wear the black mask.
