ROYAL BIRTH Dubbed ”Asylum Tragedy” IN NEWSROOM FAIL

IT is one of those embarrassing moments, when you realize you’ve put up the wrong slide.. A news producer realized his mistake too late after pushing the wrong button and displaying the image of newborn parents, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge exiting London’s St Mary’s hospital with the caption “Asylum Tragedy”.

Nine’s 4.30pm bulletin fronted by Amelia Adams featured a “super” image of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge outside London’s St Mary’s hospital. It was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment but wasn’t a good look given the elation that has taken over the world at the birth of the royal baby.

Way to go trusty news person! You just spoiled the happiest event of the entire century! Next to that asylum tragedy..
Thanks.
