The Federal Bureau of Prisons tells TMZ … Snipes was released on April 2 and transferred to the New York Community Corrections Office, which will oversee his home confinement.
Snipes will continue with a Home confinement program that is set to expire will July 19, 2013.
If you remember, Snipes went to the poke after becoming the poster child for unpaid taxes. He paid he did, big time with years of his life, checking into McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania back in December 2010.
