D.C. Mayor To Redskins: If You Want A Real Stadium, Drop Rasist Name

District mayor, Vincent Gray says it’s time for the Washington Redskins to change its racist name, at least if the team ever wants to play in D.C. proper…

The Redskins are on top of their game so there’s a lot of folks talking about bringing the team back to D.C. instead of leaving them at the awful FedEx Field located in Maryland.

I guess the guys can get ready for some conditional love as the mayor is already setting down some serious ground rules,

“I think that if they get serious with the team coming back to Washington, there’s no doubt there’s going to have to be a discussion about [changing the team name].” Adding, “I think it has become a lightning rod, and I would love to be able to sit down with the team … and see if a change should be made. There’s a precedent for this, and I think there needs to be a dispassionate discussion about this, and do the right thing.”

 
As it turns out, the feds have a hell of a lot of control over where the Redskins stadium would be built, so let the ass-kissing commence…
