California restaurant servers are reporting receiving these little cards in lieu of tips! The placard is being left on California restaurant tables instead of gratuity! The message concludes with an apology, “I wish it didn’t have to be this way for the both of us.”
Apparently this is all blow back from proposition 30, which was a bill passed this past Nov. It raised sales taxes and taxes on the rich in California.
