Wikileaks Soldier Sentence Reduced After Judge Condemns 23 Hour A Day Windowless Cell Treatment

First and foremost, I never recommend or condone handing over classified documents to any of our enemies. Dumbest damn thing you could do, especia-fecking-lee if you’re in the military. But does that justify being put in a blackened, windowless cell for 23 hours a day, most of the time completely naked and or shackled? That’s exactly what the government did to this Mayberry RFD-looking soldier that got busted after somehow getting duped in cahoots with WikiLeaks…

BBC: He was confined to a windowless cell 23 hours a day, sometimes with no clothing, at a US Marine Corps prison in Virginia. He was also shackled while outside his solitary cell.

 
The military’s argument was that the stringent measures were necessary to prevent the suspect from harming himself. Lol.

At the start of the four-day pre-trial hearing in Fort Meade, Maryland, Judge Denise Lind ruled that Pte Manning’s confinement was “more rigorous than necessary”.

 
All I’m saying is that it just seems so cruel and inhumane, I was always taught that two wrongs don’t make a right, and are you telling me they couldn’t have just put this poor devil in a regular cell? My grandma could take that guy!
