This branch group of the American Family Association, called ‘One Million Moms’, are looking to knock Ellen DeGeneres out of her position of being the new spokesperson for JCPenney.
OMM believes that Ellen shouldn’t be the spokeswoman for JCPenney, considering it’s a ‘straight’ and ‘family oriented’ department store, not ‘openly gay’ driven.
Yeah, so Ellen is openly gay, and they think she’s a bad person to represent a wholesome and classic department store. Now they are asking their fellow team members to boycott JCPenney!
OMM said one their website: “DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there.”
